What do I have to bring to class?

Please bring a mat if coming to the Priory, I do have a couple of spares if you would like to borrow one; a blanket, block/ brick is handy if you have one and I do have a few spares.
At the Phoenix studio there are plenty of mats, blankets, bolsters, bricks and blocks plus eye bags which you can borrow.

Do I have to be thin/female/flexible/young to do yoga?

Yoga is for everybody - any gender, size, age or ability is welcome. If you can breathe you can practice yoga and the classes are mostly middle aged women with a few youngsters and men for equality and diversity. We are friendly and welcome everyone.

What shall I wear to the class?

You can wear anything comfortable which does not restrict your movements, cotton clothes are best without zips, buttons, or tight waistbands. Black leggings are very popular although I prefer bright colours!

Should I eat or drink before the yoga class?

Yoga is more enjoyable on an empty stomach as we are twisting and stretching in all directions. The class is slow and mainly gentle so if you arrive hydrated there is no need to drink during the session.
